This role sits within the Regional Application Management & Support (RAMS) team under the 1 Global Team. It is responsible for supporting regional and local applications, ensuring system stability, and partnering with business users and IT teams to deliver efficient and reliable solutions. This role combines application development, production support, and project implementation activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support and maintain locally developed and third‑party applications across the APAC region
- Perform analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of applications
- Gather business requirements and prepare functional documentation
- Provide day‑to‑day support to business users and resolve application‑related issues
- Monitor systems, investigate incidents, and implement fixes or workarounds
- Enhance system monitoring tools and improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with vendors for system upgrades, patches, and issue resolution
- Participate in project lifecycle including design, UAT testing, and production rollout
- Ensure solutions align with IT standards and best practices
- Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
- Manage deployments and source code using tools such as Git, Bamboo/Jenkins, and CVS
- Work within Agile or other delivery methodologies
- Participate in on‑call support rota and occasional weekend support as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Developer (Java/Python/Perl preferred)
- Experience in application support or IT services is an advantage
- Exposure to financial services, trading, or clearing business is a plus
Technical Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience in Java, Python, or Perl
- Familiar with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting
- Experience with Git, Bamboo/Jenkins, or CVS
- Knowledge of application lifecycle, testing tools, and deployment processes
- Basic understanding of infrastructure (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, Iterative
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Detail‑oriented with good troubleshooting ability
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a regional team
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, responsible, and results‑driven
